Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating carbon dioxide gas, which can treat carbon dioxide gas inexpensively and simply; and to provide a method for separating a carbonate salt having a high added value.SOLUTION: A mixed liquid of sea water and an alkali absorbing liquid is regulated at a pH of 8 to 12, and thereafter, heated at 100°C and brought into contact with a combustion exhaust gas containing carbon dioxide to thereby form carbonate salts of metals contained in the sea water. The formed carbonate salts can be separated by controlling the solubility by pH regulation and utilizing crystal grain diameter difference, density difference and the like to be able to thereby classify lithium carbonate.
