PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively correct an unnatural pixel value which occurs in the vicinity of an edge of an object included in a view point change image in which a view point is changed.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a storage unit 12 for storing depth data of respective pixels for view point change image data; an edge extraction unit 15a for extracting an edge of the depth data stored in the storage unit 12; a correction range setting unit 15b for setting a correction range of the view point change image data on the basis of position information of the edge extracted by the edge extraction unit 15a; a processing selection unit 15c for selecting correction processing to be applied to the view point change image data on the basis of information on a pixel value of the pixel of the view point change image data corresponding to the pixel at the edge position extracted by the edge extraction unit 15a, and a pixel value of the pixel of the view point change image data corresponding to the pixel spaced from the pixel at the edge position by the predetermined number of pixels; and a processing execution unit 16 for performing the correction processing selected by the processing selection unit 15c.
