ALARM AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm capable of further bringing convenience to a user and a control method for the alarm.SOLUTION: A gas fire alarm 10 includes a notification section 13 for notifying that the occurrence of an abnormal state in a monitoring area is detected by a sensor section 11 when the occurrence is detected by the sensor section 11, and a voltage applied output circuit 16 for outputting low level voltage to a gas meter 30 when the abnormal state in the monitoring area is not detected and outputting high level voltage to the gas meter 30 when the abnormal state in the monitoring area is detected. The gas fire alarm 10 further includes a control section 12 for causing the voltage applied output circuit 16 to output high level voltage to the gas meter 30 when a power source is turned on after on/off of the power source satisfying a prescribed condition is repeated by a prescribed number of times and causing the voltage applied output circuit 16 to output low level voltage to the gas meter 30 when the power source is turned on without repeating on/off of the power source satisfying the prescribed condition by the prescribed number of times.
