METHOD FOR TESTING ROLLING FATIGUE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for testing rolling fatigue capable of evaluating rolling fatigue characteristics by a simple method using a test material manufactured by simple work without shaping a material with which fatigue characteristics are evaluated, into a sphere or a roll needed for high process accuracy.SOLUTION: An evaluation object test piece A comprises a shaft-like base shaft part 1, and an evaluation object part 2 formed at the tip of the base shaft part. The evaluation object part 2 is formed with a convex surface 3 symmetric with respect to a rotary axis (a). An angle formed between the rotary axis (a) of the evaluation object test piece A and a contact face b of another test piece B is defined as more than 0° and less than 90°. The evaluation object test piece A is rotated around the rotary axis (a) with the convex surface 3 of the evaluation object test piece A brought into contact with the contact face b of the other test piece B.
