Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulating sleeve which provides mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, electrical insulation, and resistance to a wide variety of external environmental conditions such as temperature, chemicals, liquids and the like.SOLUTION: A conductor interconnecting stator winding conductors in slot segments is covered with a composite sleeve 140. The composite sleeve 140 includes a first sleeve 148, and a second sleeve 154 positioned about the first sleeve 148. One of the first and second sleeves 148, 154 is formed of a compressed amide synthetic fiber. The first and second sleeves 148, 154 cooperate to provide protection for the conductor from external elements.
