INDUCTION HEATING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly heat a work-piece to a predetermined temperature by induction heating in a furnace.SOLUTION: An induction heating apparatus has a heating chamber 1 where a heating object B made of a non-magnetic metal is housed and heated and is composed of induction heating means 2 disposed around the heating chamber; a heating unit A which is disposed close to a surface part of the heating object B and is made of a magnetic material; and an AC power source device 8 controlling the supply of an AC power source. The heating unit A is self heated through electromagnetic induction by the induction heating means 2 thereby indirectly heating the heating object B.
