UNDERWATER TELEVISION CAMERA APPARATUS FOR FUEL ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater television camera apparatus for fuel assembly inspection which is made lightweight by suppressing the increase of weight while having radiation resistance and temperature resistance (high-temperature resistance) to be sufficiently available even under high-radiation and high-temperature environments.SOLUTION: An underwater television camera for fuel assembly to be used for visual inspection of a fuel assembly comprises a television camera including a solid-state imaging device, a camera case of an adiabatic water-tight structure for accommodating the television camera therein, an outer shield which is mounted over all the outer surface of the camera case opposed to the fuel assembly for blocking intrusion of radiation into the camera case, and an inner shield which is disposed inside the camera case for protecting a portion which is easily affected by radiation, from the radiation transmissive through the outer shield.
