Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing partially-reduced iron which reduces COemission while controlling consumption of a carbon material for combustion.SOLUTION: In a reduction furnace, a raw material pellet 3 is loaded on an endless grate and heated and reduced. The reduction furnace includes: a supply device 10 which forms a carbon material layer 2 for ignition having a predetermined height; an ignition device 20 which ignites the carbon material layer for ignition; and an exhaust gas circulation device 50 which supplies oxygen-containing gas obtained by circulating a part of exhaust gas 91 discharged from the packed bed of the raw material pellet and mixing the same with air to a packed bed 4 of the raw material pellet which is heated by combustion heat of the carbon material layer for ignition. At the upstream side in the moving direction of the endless grate, a combustion region of the carbon material layer for ignition is formed by supplying the ignited carbon material layer for ignition with gas having high oxygen concentration, while, relative to the combustion region of the carbon material layer for ignition, a heating region of the raw material pellet is formed by supplying the packed bed of the raw material pellet with gas having low oxygen concentration at the downstream side in the moving direction of the endless grate. Therefore, partially-reduced iron 5 is produced by heating and reducing the packed bed of the raw material pellet.
