Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight unit capable of removing a stain spot phenomenon of a plane light source due to adhesion and unevenness of distance between a reflection sheet located at the lower surface of a light guide plate and the light guide plate.SOLUTION: The backlight unit has a light guide plate for guiding light, one or more light sources which are installed on one side face of the light guide plate, a reflecting sheet 220 which is installed at the lower surface of the light guide plate, and an optical sheet which is installed at the upper surface of the light guide plate. A plurality of grooves 221 are formed on the upper side of the reflecting sheet 220 and pump mountains 223 are formed in the peripheral regions where the plurality of grooves 221 are formed.
