BOILING-WATER REACTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boiling-water reactor capable of improving the seismic resistance of a support structure of a steam dryer and reducing the man-hour of a work required to improve the seismic resistance.SOLUTION: In the boiling-water reactor, the steam dryer is installed in a reactor pressure vessel. The steam dryer has a support ring 19, where a plurality of earthquake-resistant blocks 21 with a notch 22 formed are welded to an outer surface of the support ring 19. A plurality of notch grooves 23 are formed in the support ring 19. The notch 22 and the notch groove 23 are arranged in one straight line in a radial direction of the support ring 19. Respective upper end faces of the notch 22 and the notch groove 23 exist at the same height. A plurality of support brackets 26 whose longitudinal sections are rectangular are provided on an inner surface of the reactor pressure vessel. The support bracket 26 is fitted into the notch 22 and the notch groove 23, and a top face 26a of the support bracket 26 supports the support ring 19 and the earthquake-resistance blocks 21.
