Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the thrust direction movement of a camshaft in an internal combustion engine by a simple constitution.SOLUTION: The camshaft support structure for the internal combustion engine 1 has the camshaft 48 supported by a plurality of bearings 47 installed in a cylinder head 2, an end bearing 51 as one of the bearings which is installed at one end, a camshaft extension part 52 protruding from the camshaft to one side rather than the end bearing, a pump driving cam 53 installed in the camshaft extension part, and a pulsar plate 62 installed on one camshaft on the counter side to the pump driving cam of a journal 61 supported by the end bearing where the pump driving cam and the pulsar plate have a pump driving cam end face 55 which is a plane-orthogonal to an axial line of the camshaft and a pulsar plate end face 66, and each of the pump drive cam end face and the pulsar plate end face comes in contact with the end bearing.
