ROLL-LIKE MEDIUM HOLDING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll-like medium holding device which can be attached to a roll-like medium by a simple method and can stably hold the roll-like medium once attached thereto.SOLUTION: A flange 22 of a roll-like medium holding device is divided into a fixed flange member 7 provided with an inner cylinder 3 inserted into a hollow shaft 4a of the roll-like medium and a movable flange member 5 provided with a circumferential edge 19 configuring a part of an outer circumference of the flange so as to be movable relatively to the fixed flange member 7. The movable flange member 5 is movable to a first state in which a maximum distance Y between a central axis X and a circumferential edge 19, which is measured in a radial direction of the inner cylinder on any plane including the central axis X of the inner cylinder 3, is smaller than a radius r of the roll-like medium to which the flange is fitted and to a second state in which a minimum distance Z between an outer circumference of the flange 22 and the central axis X of the inner cylinder 3, which is measured in a radial direction of the inner cylinder when the fixed flange member 7 and the movable flange member 5 are on a same plane, is larger than the radius r of the roll-like medium 4 to which the flange 22 is fitted.
