PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-fed printing press capable of achieving a sheet inspection operation safely.SOLUTION: When a temporary paper receiving plate 22 is at an advancing position though predetermined time (5 seconds in this example) has passed since the temporary paper receiving plate 22 advanced (step S3), an informing means 33 informs an operator by indication of a paper delivery controller 80 (step S4). The information is performed by a warning sound of a buzzer and by blinking a lamp provided near a paper delivery portion. Afterwards when the temporary paper receiving plate 22 is still at the advancing position though further predetermined time (3 seconds in this example) has passed (step S5), paper feeding by a paper feeding section A stops by indication of a paper feeding controller 80' through a central controller 90 from the paper delivery controller 80 (step S6).
