Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen-absorbing normal temperature oxidation catalyst and a method for removing CO contained in hydrogen or the like.SOLUTION: The oxygen-absorbing normal temperature oxidation catalyst is for oxidizing carbon monoxide contained in hydrogen at normal temperature and the oxygen-absorbing normal temperature oxidation catalyst is free from a carrier with high specific surface area such as AlOand contains a Pt-bearing cerium-zirconium-bismuth-compounded oxide produced by adding polyvinylpyrrolidone as a dispersant to water and dissolving it therein. Its production method is provided. There is also provided a method for oxidation-removing carbon monoxide contained in hydrogen or a gas containing hydrogen as a main component or contained in a gas discharged out of a gas consumption device or the like, using the oxygen-absorbing normal temperature oxidation catalyst at normal temperature.
