PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of improving accuracy in correction processing of read image data.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 1 of read image data extracts contour information of a medium region 40 from the read image data including the medium region 40 corresponding to a medium having been read and corrects the distortion of the medium region on the basis of the extracted contour information. The image processing apparatus 1 comprises: an image capturing unit 11 for capturing the read image data; a contour extraction unit 12 for extracting the contour information on the medium region 40 from the read image data; an image display unit 13 for displaying the extracted contour information on the read image data; and an instruction detection unit 14 for detecting an instruction to change the position of the contour information with respect to the read image data. If the instruction detection unit 14 detects the change instruction, the contour extraction unit 12 re-extracts the contour information, reflecting the change instruction. The image display unit 13 re-displays re-extracted contour information.
