PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overlap of a plurality of revision contents when synthesizing a plurality of difference data with an image of the revision contents to be accumulated, while reducing the size of data.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus of the present invention includes: image data storage means for storing respective original images of a plurality of media; input means for inputting images of respective revised media; extraction means for extracting differences on the basis of the input image of the revised medium and an original image of the medium; information management means for managing configuration information of the extracted differences by associating with the original image; overlap determination means for determining whether or not a plurality of differences overlap one another in the original image on the basis of the configuration information of the plurality of differences associated with the original image; and reconfiguration means for reconfiguring configuration information of overlapping differences when the overlap determination means determines that the plurality of differences overlap.
