Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately reduce power consumption in a display device.SOLUTION: A display device 1 comprises: a first displaying section 110 and a second displaying section 120 for displaying images; controlling means 300 for controlling operation of the first displaying section and the second displaying section; and storage means 400 for storing an image to be displayed on the first displaying section and an image to be displayed on the second displaying section as one coupled image therein. The controlling means comprises: rewriting means 340 and 350 for performing rewriting of the images in the first displaying section and the second displaying section by individually dividing the coupled image into the images for the first displaying section and the second displaying section and supplying the images divided thereto; determining means 320 for, on the basis of the coupled image, determining which image of the first displaying section and the second displaying section is to be rewritten; and power supply stopping means 360 for, in a case where one of the images of the first displaying section and the second displaying section is determined to not be rewritten, stopping supply of a power supply potential to the one thereof.
