Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a genetic marker for evaluating genetic ability for increasing a weight of dressed carcass and a body height in bovine individual, and to provide a method for evaluating the genetic ability by using the marker.SOLUTION: It is expected that the genetic ability for increasing the weight of the dressed carcass and the body height in the bovine individual is higher than that of a bovine individual in which the base corresponding to the 964th base of a cDNA of a bovine PTPDC1 gene comprising a base sequence of sequence number 1, the base corresponding to the 47th, 556th or 557th base of a cDNA of the FGD3 gene comprising a base sequence of sequence number 2, or the base corresponding to the 53rd base of a cDNA of the bovine SUSD3 gene comprising a base sequence of sequence number 3 is a wild type base, when the base is determined and is G, C, T, G or A respectively, and in the case, it is also expected that the weight of the dressed carcass is heavier and the body height is higher.
