Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with useful information in a waiting time at a charging station, in an electric vehicle requiring battery charge at the charging station.SOLUTION: An information providing device comprises a control unit (10) for retrieving information provided to a vehicle occupant. The control unit (10) is configured to determine a planned charging position for a battery (54) according to an instruction regarding a charging place for the battery (54), to retrieve information provided to the vehicle occupant from information sources inside or outside the vehicle, and to provide the vehicle occupant with the retrieved information after the vehicle reaches the planned charging position or during charge to the battery (54) in the planned charging position.
