Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide low expansion glass whose base material is an inorganic material having a low thermal expansion coefficient and which is effectively used for forming a glassy coating film having functions such as decoration, insulation, rust prevention and the like and to provide a pasty glass composition which is suitable for forming the glassy coating film on the inorganic material.SOLUTION: There are provided the low expansion glass having a composition of 30-50 wt.% SiO, 10-35 wt.% ZnO, 10-20 wt.% BO, 5-10 wt.% LiO and 10-20 wt.% AlOin terms of oxides; and the pasty glass composition where solid powders including the powders of the low expansion glass are dispersed in an organic vehicle.
