PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of efficiently performing the operation for obtaining a desired printed result.SOLUTION: A control unit 26 generates raster data, color space information indicating the color space of the raster data, and specific color information indicating that the color value of the raster data is a specific color value, and stores the information in a storage unit 25 in association with the raster data, color space information and specific color information. The control unit 26 determines the existence of the specific color information in association with the raster data stored in the storage unit 25. When the control unit 26 does not determine the existence of the specific color information, the color value of the raster data is converted into a CMYK value by performing the calculation corresponding to color space indicated by the color space information in association with the raster data. When it is determined that there is a specific color, the control unit generates the image data to be outputted in an image formation unit 28 by using the raster data being the specific color value as the CMYK value.
