LED LIGHT SOURCE HAVING IMPROVED HEAT CONDUCTIVITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED light source which improves heat conductivity and a method for manufacturing the LED light source.SOLUTION: A light source includes: a substrate 31, multiple dies, and a translucent layer of a capsule material. The substrate includes an insulation layer, which has an upper surface having patterned layers 32, 33 of a first metal and a lower surface having a patterned layer of a second metal. The patterned layers of the first metal include multiple die attachment regions and the patterned layer of the second metal includes a first contact layer located below the die attachment regions. The die attachment regions and the first contact layer are connected by vias 38 metallic-coated at the respective die attachment regions. The transparent capsule material covers the multiple dies and is coupled to the patterned layers of the first metal and the upper surface of the insulation layer.
