Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specific absorption rate (SAR) measurement system and method for accurately and quickly measuring SAR distribution.SOLUTION: A biological equivalent phantom unit 42 to be used for a specific absorption rate measurement system 40 for evaluating absorption of electromagnetic energy includes: a pseudo human body 1 for receiving absorption of an electromagnetic wave; a plurality of electro-optic crystals 3 for measuring an electric field to be generated in the pseudo human body by a measured electromagnetic wave generator 2; and a plurality of bare fibers 10 installed in the pseudo human body for connecting each of the electro-optic crystals to the outside. The specific absorption rate measurement system for evaluating absorption of electromagnetic energy using the biological equivalent phantom unit includes: a light source 4; a polarization adjuster 7 for adjusting a polarization state of outgoing rays of light of the light source; an optical path switcher 9 for sequentially making rays of light incident to each electro-optic crystal; and a specific absorption rate measurement unit 44 for detecting rays of light reflected from the electro-optic crystal to measure a specific absorption rate.
