Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator that can be made compact in an outer shape with a reduced dimension in a width direction of the actuator and can be reduced in the number of components.SOLUTION: The actuator includes: a track member having a first rolling groove for a rolling element, which extends in a longitudinal direction; a screw shaft, which is disposed in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the track member and has a second rolling groove for a rolling element on an outer periphery; a moving member, which is assembled to be movable in an axial direction along the track member and the screw shaft via the rolling element; and a housing, which has a mounting part mounted at an end of the track member and a rotary holding part to rotatably hold an end of the screw shaft. The housing includes a mounting means to mount a position detection means to detect a position of the moving member.
