Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce accelerated metal loss from the inner refractory metal of a component of a glass making system.SOLUTION: A vessel 40 includes: an inner layer 30 composed of a metal selected from the group consisting of ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, osmium, indium, platinum, rhenium, molybdenum or alloys thereof; a barrier layer 32 composed of a ceramic material adjacent to the inner layer 30; and a sacrificial metal member 50 for forming a metal oxide gas adjacent at least to a portion of the barrier layer 32, the sacrificial metal member 50 selected from the group consisting of ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, osmium, iridium, platinum, rhenium, molybdenum and alloys thereof. The majority constituent of the metal comprising the sacrificial metal member 50 is the same as the majority constituent of the metal comprising the inner layer 30. |
