Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a surface scratch of a stainless section steel at low cost and efficiently.SOLUTION: A device for removing a scratch generated on a flange 2b of a stainless H-section steel 2 is arranged at a lateral side of a table 1 for conveying the stainless H-section steel 2. The device includes a disk-like rotary grinding stone 11 whose outer periphery 11a is formed while tilting to its lateral side 11b, a motor 12 for driving the rotary grinding stone 11, and an air cylinder 13 for pressing the outer periphery 11a of the rotary grinding stone 11 against the flange 2b of the conveyed stainless H-section steel 2. The rotary grinding stone 11 whose outer periphery 11a is formed while tilting to the lateral side 11b is rotated in a state of being pressed against the flange 2b of the stainless H-section steel 2 laid on the table to be conveyed, thereby removing the scratch generated on the flange 2b of the stainless H-section steel 2. Since a grinding width is large, it becomes possible to efficiently remove a surface scratch, and to improve the removing capability of the surface scratch. Furthermore, a large-diameter grinding stone is usable and therefore working efficiency can be improved.
