PRODUCTION OF ELONGATED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for production of an elongated product comprising: molding a core having a plastic outer layer; extrusion-molding a seamless metal layer to the core so as to give a clearance between the metal layer and the core; cooling the metal layer; and contacting the inner face of the metal layer with the outer face of the core.SOLUTION: An elongated product is molded so that firstly a core whose outer face is made of a plastic is molded. Thereafter, a tubular metal layer 4 is extruded so that the layer is seamless. When the metal layer 42 is extruded, the clearance 16 is formed between the metal layer and the core. After the metal layer 4 is cooled, the outer face of the core 2 is contacted with the inner face of the metal layer 4. An adhesive action is imparted between the core and the metal layer, and a permanent compressive force which compresses the core and the metal layer together is imparted.
