METHOD AND DEVICE FOR AUTOMATICALLY IDENTIFYING CHARACTER SEGMENT FOR CHARACTER RECOGNITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for automatically identifying a character segment for character recognition.SOLUTION: There is disclosed a method and device for automatically identifying a character segment for character recognition. The method includes receiving a plurality of words and ground truth corresponding to each word of the plurality of words. The plurality of words may be received by regular handwriting. Each word of the plurality of words is divided into one or more character segments on the basis of the ground truth corresponding to each word. Afterwards, the division of each word is improved by repeatedly re-dividing each word on the basis of one or more similar character segments.
