Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing pigment-including silica particles, pigment-including silica particles obtained by the method, and a use of the particles.SOLUTION: The method for producing pigment-including silica particles includes the steps of: (a) preparing pigment-including silica particle precursor particles by atomizing a pigment-dispersed alkali silicate aqueous solution into hot air flow followed by drying; (b) immersing the pigment-including silica particle precursor particles in an acid aqueous solution to remove the alkali; and (c) drying and heat-treating the resulting particles. The mole ratio of SiO2/M2O (M represents alkali metal) of the pigment-dispersed alkali silicate aqueous solution is in the range of 1 to 5, SiO2 concentration (CS) is in the range of 1 to 30 wt.%, and the ratio (CD)/(CS) of pigment concentration (CD) to SiO2 concentration (CS) is in the range of 0.005-2.3.
