PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic that spreads well, is easy to apply on hair and to pass fingers through hair even when dry, gives hair gloss and moisture, and imparts to hair moderate feeling of volume.SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic includes: (A) a polyalkylene glycol derivative expressed by general formula (I), Z-{O-(EO)a-(BO)k-H}m (I) (in the formula, Z is a residue excluding the hydroxy groups from the polyhydric alcohol having 3 to 6 hydroxy groups; m is 3-6; EO is an oxyethylene group; and BO is an oxybutylene group, and EO and BO bond to each other in a block manner; (a) is 1-50; k is 1-50; EO has a mass ratio of 10-75 pts.mass relative to 100 pts.mass of the sum total amount of EO and BO); (B) a silicone or a silicone derivative; and (C) a branched hydrocarbon. The hair cosmetic contains, on the basis of the whole amount of the hair cosmetic, 0.1-10 mass% of the (A) component, 0.1-10 mass% of the (B) component, and 0.5-50 mass% of the (C) component.
