PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for steering a vehicle in particular including two front wheels and two rear wheels, the steering device easily and appropriately shifting a turn mode.SOLUTION: In the steering device, a wheel-turning mechanism turns front two wheels and rear two wheels in a vehicle 10 including the front two wheels and the rear two wheels on the basis of operation of a steering 32. A drive mechanism individually drives the front two wheels and the rear two wheels. In the process of increasing the operation amount of the steering 32, the wheel-turning mechanism and the drive mechanism shift from a normal turn mode in which the front two wheels are turned to the same phase, a small turn mode in which the front two wheels are turned to the same phase, a driving force in a forward traveling direction is applied to turning outer wheels of the rear two wheels and a driving force in a backward traveling direction is then applied to turning inner wheels of the rear two wheels, to a pivot turn mode in which the rear two wheels are turned to inverse phases. During the pivot turn mode, the wheel-turning mechanism turns the turning inner wheels of the front two wheels to return to a straight traveling direction. During the pivot turn mode, the drive mechanism applies the driving force in the backward traveling direction to the turning inner wheels of the front two wheels.
