PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate-shaped member for forming a suction tool capable of suppressing deformation of a connection part with a suction pipe during use and efficiently performing cleaning work.SOLUTION: The plate-shaped member has a base capable of forming a cylindrical body (30) by bonding end portions with each other in a specific direction. The base includes: base bonding portions; a connection part forming portion for forming a connection part (30b) by bonding the base bonding portions with each other; a suction part forming portion for forming a suction part (30c) similarly; and a plurality of ridge line forming portions for guiding bending of the base so as to form ridge lines (30j) protruded outward. The plurality of ridge line forming portions formed at such positions that each of the plurality of ridge lines (30j) when the plurality of ridge lines (30j) are formed by bending simultaneously comes in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the front end of the suction pipe from the inner side.
