PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine that has an improved rinsing performance and is capable of saving water.SOLUTION: The control means 26 performs a control in a rinsing process in such a manner that a water supply valve 23 is driven to supply water while a unidirectional rotation of a washing and dewatering tub 14 and normal and reverse rotations of an agitation blade 15 are successively performed to evenly and uniformly pour tap water to clothing in which washing liquid is permeated. At the same time, a drain cock is not operated and the used tap water is prevented from flowing out to the outside of the machine. Clothing in which washing liquid is permeated is agitated and washing liquid remained inside is further removed by the agitation blade 15. Then, rinsing is efficiently performed with a small amount of tap water. Thus it is possible to simultaneously solve problems such as improvement in rinsing performance and water saving of tap water when rinsing.
