INPUT DEVICE FOR ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AND INPUT CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device and method for electronic equipment for eliminating any chattering phenomenon which occurs accompanied by the validity determination result of an input operation between an area and an area which is adjacent to the area.SOLUTION: The input device includes: an input operation part 20 which selectively or simultaneously inputs a plurality of different input contents; an input processing part 15 having a detection part 19 for detecting an input operation to the input operation part, and for outputting detection information corresponding to the plurality of different input contents, which outputs input information corresponding to the detection information when it is accompanied by the input operation; and a control circuit part 14 which receives the input information and outputs output information corresponding to the input operation to electronic equipment. If at least one or more input information is output when it is undetermined that the input operation is being performed, the control circuit part selects the input information on the basis of any priority among different priorities set in accordance with the transition of the determination result of whether or not the input operation is being performed, and determines that the input operation as the source of the input information is being performed.
