PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nut with a simple structure that can properly reduce backlash irrespective of temperature conditions.SOLUTION: The nut 1 includes: a first thread groove part 11 having a thread groove 20 formed on an inner peripheral surface of a resin-made nut body 10 at one end thereof; a second thread groove part 12 having a thread groove formed on the inner peripheral surface of the nut body at the other end and having the same pitch with that of the thread groove of the first thread groove part; a non-threaded part 13 which is provided between the first thread groove part and the second thread groove part in the nut body, whose length in the axial direction does not correspond to the integral multiple of the pitch of the screw groove, and in which a thread groove is not formed on the inner peripheral surface; a slit 21 penetrating the non-threaded part; a recess groove 31 spirally formed on an outer peripheral surface of the nut body; and a coil spring 33 retained in the recessed groove.
