Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical method for producing propylene oxide, which suppresses production of acetaldehyde.SOLUTION: A method for producing propylene oxide includes a catalytic oxidation of propylene in a fixed bed reaction chamber. The catalyst is disposed in a plurality of tubes surrounded by a fluid that eliminates reaction heat. In the method, a cooling zone is provided by introducing a part of a cooled recirculated gas flow to the downstream of the above tubes in the reaction chamber.
