PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor with which an advance angle can be adjusted easily and inexpensively.SOLUTION: An electric motor comprises: a yoke having a cylinder part; a plurality of magnets 42 provided on an inner periphery of the cylinder; and an armature 43 provided rotatably against the yoke. The armature 43 includes: an armature core 43a having a rotational axis, a plurality of teeth 12 attached on the rotational axis and be wound by coils 14 therearound, and a plurality of slots 13 formed between each teeth 12; and a commutator 20 provided next to the armature core 43a and arranging a plurality of segments 22 connected to the coils 14 in a circumferential direction. A plurality of brushes 24 is slidably contacted to the segments 22 in the electric motor 40, in which the commutator 20 is provided with an advance angle against the armature core 43a.
