Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of efficiently and uniformly cooling a coil end.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 1 includes: a rotor 30 which is rotatable; a stator core 50 disposed so as to oppose to the rotor 30 in a diametrical direction, and having a plurality of slots 51 arranged in a circumferential direction; and a stator coil 60 made by winding a plurality of coil element wires 70 having slot storage portions 71 stored in the different slots 51 in the circumferential direction and a turn portion 72 for connecting the slot storage portions 71 outside the slots 51, around the stator core 50. The stator coil 60 has a coil end 61 made by superimposing the plurality of turn portions 72 which projects outward in axial direction from axial both end surfaces of the stator core 50, in the diametrical direction. On both sides in the axial direction of the stator coil 60, heat exchangers (cooling members) 81 oppositely disposed on only axial end surface 61a of the coil end 61 are provided.
