Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor unit for executing both reflection reading and transmission reading.SOLUTION: The image sensor unit includes: a first light guide body 22 for irradiating a paper money S with the rays of light; a second light guide body 32 for irradiating the paper money S with the rays of light; a rod lens array 25 for receiving the rays of light emitted by the first light guide body 22, and reflected on the paper money S and the rays of light emitted by the second light guide body 32, and transmitted through the paper money S; and a background member 33 forming the background color of the paper money S. The paper money S can pass between the rod lens array 25 and the background member 33 and the second light guide body 32, and the background member 33 is arranged so as to be faced to the optical axis of the rod lens array 25, and the second light guide body 32 is arranged so as to be shifted from the optical axis of the rod lens array 25 along the conveyance direction of the paper money S.
