PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that enables quick reading processing and recording processing and extends the service life of components in an image reading part and an image recording part.SOLUTION: The image processing device 1 includes: an image reading part that moves an image reading unit 13 in a read sub-scanning direction with respect to a document on a document reading surface 11a and repeats reading in a read main-scanning direction to read an image of the document; an image recording part 20 for recording an image by repeating recording in a recording main-scanning direction, while moving a recording sheet in a recording sub-scanning direction; and a paper feed cassette 41 for housing a plurality of stacked recording sheets of a predetermined size. A maximum read main-scanning length Lm is longer than a maximum read sub-scanning length Lv, and the read main-scanning direction is parallel to the recording main-scanning direction, and the recording sheet is transferred to the image recording part 20 so that a long side of a maximum-size recording sheet which can be stored in the paper feed cassette 41 is parallel to the recording main-scanning direction.
