PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample of a high value in terms of quality, which allows accurate analysis by improving a sampler for taking especially a slag sample.SOLUTION: A device for measuring parameters or for taking samples in melted iron or melted steel and for taking samples of slag resting on melted iron or melted steel includes a support tube 1 that has an immersion end and a lateral circumferential surface. The immersion end of the support tube 1 has a measuring head 2 comprising an immersion end and a lateral circumferential surface arranged thereon, and an inflow opening 4 is arranged on the lateral circumferential surface of the support tube 1. The inflow opening 4 is opened to a pre-chamber 13 arranged inside the support tube 1 through an inflow path, the pre-chamber 13 has an entrance opening 15 on an end on a side opposite to the immersion end of the measuring head 2, and the entrance opening 15 is opened to a slag sample chamber 16 arranged inside the device on the side opposite to the immersion end of the pre-chamber 13.
