Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a constraint on large dimensions arises in the ease of installation in an engine since different two solenoid switches are disposed with respect to the central axis of a motor in a configuration where a first solenoid switch which opens and closes a main contact point of the motor, and a second solenoid switch which makes a current pass to the motor via a resistive element and includes a contact point for short-circuiting the resistive element are separate bodies, and are positioned in parallel in the circumferential direction of the motor.SOLUTION: An engine starting device which does not impair the ease of installation in an engine is provided by positioning a first solenoid switch which includes a resistive element, and a second solenoid switch in series in the axial direction to be configured integrally and in a single housing.
