SIMPLE BUILDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple building which facilitates construction using only a small number of components and also has excellent appearance.SOLUTION: In an inventive simple building 1: a column 3a is hollow, has a side surface which is opened, and is provided with a column cover 17 which closes a side opening; a water collector 29 is fixed to a horizontal gutter part 25 at an upper end of the column 3a; a water trap 40 is arranged at a bottom edge of the column 3a, and has an opening 43 which can swallow a bottom edge 19b of a downpipe 19 and a downpipe engaging part 45 with which the bottom edge 19b of the downpipe 19 engages from above; the downpipe 19 is arranged in the hollow space of the column 3a and its vertical dimension H1 is longer than a dimension H2 between the bottom edge of the water collector 29 and the top edge of the water trap 40; and the top edge 19a is fitted to the water collector 29 from below, and the bottom edge 19b is engaged with the downpipe engaging part 45 of the water trap 40.
