PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorber capable of holding excellent figure compatibility and movement followability that a conventional absorber provided with a small absorption part has, maintaining the shape of the absorber even in liquid absorption by repetitive excretion and a large amount of excretion, quickly coping with the excretion, and recovering/holding absorbency.SOLUTION: The absorber includes an absorptive core and a cover sheet for covering a first surface and a second surface to be symmetrical surfaces of the absorptive core. The cover sheet comprises nonwoven fabric, and the absorptive core has a heavy basis weight part and a low basis weight part of basis weight lower than the heavy basis weight part. The plurality of heavy basis weight parts are disposed away from each other, and the low basis weight parts are continuously disposed in a plane direction so as to surround the heavy basis weight parts. The heavy basis weight part is thicker than the low basis weight part, the low basis weight parts are unevenly distributed on the first surface side of the absorptive core, a recess is disposed on the second surface side, and thus the second surface side of the absorptive core forms a recessed and projected structure. The first surface and second surface of the absorptive core and the cover sheet are bonded so as to fix the heavy basis weight parts in a belt-like coating area where an adhesive is applied.
