Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of surely holding a panel cell such as a glass cell.SOLUTION: The display device comprises: a panel cell (a glass cell) 11; a member which is structurally independent from the glass cell 11; and a fixing part 21 where the glass cell and the member are fixed. The display device has also a bezel 14 with an aperture 14c to expose a display area D. The member, which is a backlight unit 12, is located on the opposite side of the aperture relative to the glass cell. The glass cell 11 has a first face including the display area and a second face located on the opposite side of the first face, facing the backlight unit. The fixture part 21 fixes the second face of the glass cell and the backlight unit.
