METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING APPLICATION-SPECIFIC REGISTRATION OR DE-REGISTRATION DATA, AND SYSTEM, SERVER AND COMMUNICATION TERMINAL THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for allowing MMS to be used as a transport medium for an application installed on a communication terminal.SOLUTION: A communication terminal transmits to the server an information element which specifies whether at least one application installed on the communication terminal uses MMS as a transport medium for transmission of data, and a communication link with the communication terminal is set up. Then, in determining whether the at least one application installed on the communication terminal uses the MMS as a transport medium, a control action is carried out as a function of the transmitted information element without inquiring of the communication terminal whether the at least one application installed on the communication terminal uses the MMS as a transport medium.
