IMAGING ARRAY HAVING PHOTODIODES WITH DIFFERENT PHOTOSENSITIVITY AND ASSOCIATED IMAGE RESTORATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging array having photodiodes with different photosensitivities, and to provide an associated image restoration method.SOLUTION: A pixel sensor array includes a plurality of pixel sensors having a first gain and a plurality of pixel sensors having a second gain less than the first gain. A highlight pixel in which the pixel values of the pixels with the first gain are saturated are corrected with a correction value calculated as a ratio of the average value or the weighted average value of unsaturated normal photosensitivity pixels usable in the vicinity of the highlight pixel to a highlight pixel value.
