PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple building which has good appearance and is easy in construction.SOLUTION: In a simple building 1, columns 3a, 3b are respectively mounted with a column cover 17 which covers the front of the column 3a, 3b, the upper end 17a of the column cover 17 is disposed on the front of a girder 5, the girder 5 has a rain gutter 25 opening upward and a panel receiver 27, a screw insertion hole is formed in the front side end 11a of a panel retainer 11, a cap 8 covers a rafter 7, the front side end 11a of the panel retainer 11, and the girder 5 between the column 3a, 3b and the rafter 7, the rear side end 8b of the cap 8 is fixed to the rafter 7 by a screw 33 inserted into the screw insertion hole of the panel retainer 11, and the front side end 8a of the cap 8 is engaged to the upper end of the column cover 17 at the front of the girder 5.
