PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which can start an operation at a time desired by a user.SOLUTION: A washing machine stores a first time and a second time to start washing, and accepts an operation by a user to select one time from the plurality of stored start times. The washing machine can start its operation at the selected first or second time, that is, a time desired by the user. For example, the machine stores a time applying a nighttime rate as the first time and a time when a surplus supply capacity of an electric power company is large as the second time, and can reduce an electricity bill or respond to a power saving request from the electric power company, by selection of either of both times as a start time by the user.
