INFORMATION REPRODUCTION DEVICE AND INFORMATION REPRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproduction device and information reproduction method capable of improving the degree of freedom in synchronous reproduction with apparatuses combined with each other by a user, by making it possible to perform synchronous reproduction of video, voice, or the like with a partner side apparatus without providing a broad band communication path for information transmission with the partner side apparatus.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, an information reproduction device comprises: first communication means; acquisition means; reproduction means; second communication means; and control means. The acquisition means acquires information from a server on a network through the first communication means, and the reproduction means reproduces the information. The control means performs control of an information reproduction apparatus to be in a reproduction preparation state, by outputting information for inquiring reproduction capability, information for designating a reproduction mode, and information showing an acquisition location of the information acquired by the acquisition means to the information reproduction apparatus to be a slave, through the second communication means; and performs control of the information reproduction apparatus to be in a reproduction state, by outputting a synchronous clock for the reproduction and reproduction request information.
